This was a speculative project.

Problem

It is difficult to search for a specific image from multiple images. People may not remember the File location of the picture taken. Organizing multiple images is a overwhelming process and seems like a lot of work to people.

Solution

There is a need to make the organizing process more interactive and faster. A easier way to search for images is needed. A way to group images together and suggest similar images is needed to make the process faster.

Following Findings are Based on Mendel Broekhuijsen , Elise van den Hoven & Panos Markopoulos (2017). Despite their intentions to get organized , on most occasions people lack the time and motivation to properly curate their personal photo collections. Existing studies emphasize that ‘work needs to be done’ when it comes to organizing photos, thus illustrating the understanding that curation is considered unsatisfying work, despite the promise of a well-organized collection.

THEME

To emphasize the pictures, a minimal theme was selected. Purple was chosen as primary color because it represents

cheerfulness and playfulness.

SELECTING PICTURES

When the users selects the picture then delete, share and add to albums option appears. When the user slides across the screen from left to right then similar pictures are shown identified by the AI.

SINGLE PICTURE VIEW

When a single picture is selected then albums are shown below. They can drag the picture down to add to the album or click on the album. Replies which were made on pictures are shown when chat button is selected. Comments are important part of today's interaction.

They can drag the picture up to delete it.

ALBUMS

Album screens show album created by the AI and the users. When they select an album they can easily add a user.

Users can request for images then the AI shows picture of that person to the user they are requesting to.

Usability test

Participants will be asked to complete set of tasks. Their interaction will be observed and evaluated. Survey will be conducted to understand user goals and how satisfied they are with the product.

The following were the findings of the test.

Some users choose tapping on buttons like delete rather than using the gestures.
Users must be given a clear tutorial for them to understand the new gestures.
Gestures are easily learnable if repeated.
